Purpose

The project combines a careful Unicode cleaner with a transparent implementation of patterns described on Wikipedia’s Signs of AI writing advice page. It is useful for editing, migration cleanup, and reviewing documents that may contain assistant artifacts.

What it does not claim

The score is not scientifically validated as an authorship classifier. It cannot prove that text was generated by AI, and a low score cannot prove human authorship. Wikipedia itself emphasizes that many listed conventions also occur in human writing.

Attribution and independence

Rule descriptions are short paraphrases tied to a recorded Wikipedia revision and source section. Text Harmonizer is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wikimedia Foundation or Wikipedia contributors.

Local-first engineering

The guest tool is built as an installable PWA. Sanitization, detection, scoring, harmonization, validation, diffing, and export run locally. Network-dependent source review is confined to the authenticated administrative lifecycle.
